El fortín más allá de la frontera

( The Fort, Beyond the Border )

Trailer

Synopsis

With the establishment of Fort Esperanza in 1854, a handful of settlers sought prosperity in what would become Pueblo de la Esperanza. This led to the dispossession and expropriation of Indigenous lands, met with fierce resistance and sacrifice. The frontier line continued expanding into the country’s interior, and in 1869 the district was officially established, renaming Pueblo de la Esperanza to General Carlos María de Alvear.
«The Fort, Beyond the Border» is a documentary shaped by identity, memory, and humanity—a narrative aiming to (re)examine the past through new critical perspectives on interpreting history.
